Chris Matthews earns around $5 million dollars a year as an anchor and commentator on MSNBC, ‘Hardball’. A program of political commentary. In 2012, Chris Matthews is estimated to be worth $16 million. He wrangles pundits continuously with political discussions, and interrupts vehemently when they stray from his opinions. For a moderate conservative – he shows all the signs of a full time conservative both by his fortunes, and his political positions. His constant haranguing Bernie Sanders position as a Democratic Socialist is a carry over from his history in government and living in fear of any words which include socialism. It is obvious that he would prefer Mrs. Clinton with her connections to wall street, and the wealthy she dances with. Credibility is earned as a true journalist when a pundit adheres to a middle-of-the-road position. Chris Mathews is no longer capable of not showing his age, background, and wealth.
What May Have Been …
There have been numbers of pundits discussing the rise of the young Senator from Chicago, and his meteoric presidential win over the former First Lady, Hillary Clinton. All of the messages glossed over one aspect of the inauguration of Barrack Obama.
On Saturday, the 13th of February, 2016 – Antonin Scalia, Supreme Court Justice, died in his sleep in West Texas. This event has set off a firestorm of political grandstanding from GOP opposition to the naming of Scalias replacement. President Obamas first act is to name a person to be vetted and confirmed by the senate to fill the slot as the ninth seat on the Supreme Court. Already the Senate Republican Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell, has stated that the President does not have the right to name a successor. Except that it is stated by the U.S. Constitution that he must do just that. This turn of events is a first in the history of the court, and would not be happening if the President were not an African American.
No need to gloss over where history will lead us. One must question why, when decisions were made to run for president – no one asked the hard questions. Why a black president in such a turbulent time in the countries history? The middle east continued to be in flux after a failed war in Iraq, and Afghanistan. The economy was is a shambles after a failed eight year presidency by George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. But most egregious was the state of the social makeup and racist attitude of a majority of the right. And backlash, one after another adverse reaction to a black President began to cripple the congress, and move the Supreme Court further to the right. What was the single most action that moved the country closer to outright anarchy. A notable absence of and downright state of disorder swept the country and the formation of a political movement called the ‘Tea Party’. Capable of placing Tea Party leaders in prime congressional and Senate positions the foundation was being laid for political elections to become sacrosanct for both parties.
Was it a bombastic period to place a black President in the oval office? Or should clearer minds have asked the question at the time? When should Mister Obama have run for the office? During a period of time when the country had overcome its pitiful legacy of racism, or, would that time ever come? Which brings another issue to bear. If President Obama had not won, but a woman took the office – would-not the same bias and prejudice have raised its ugly head?

New Novel
Well, I went and done it! I fulfilled a promise to myself. There comes a time when you must modify a principal to maintain sanity. What am I getting to?
I am writing a novel that is not historical. Something I said I would never do. And I love working on this one.
Like Louis L’Amour, I harbour a deep profound love of western writing. And I cherish good quality western movies.
So, here goes, but first an explanation or the reason. Because it is there. It is there in the form of a screenplay written for a very good western. Kevin Costner starred in, and produced (Tig Productions), a movie titled, “Open Range”. Costarring Robert Duvall the movie screamed for a sequel at the end. So I wrote a sequel. When there was no interest I decided to turn the sequel into a novel. So there.
Let me backtrack. When I say it is not historical–that is not exactly true. As the outline began to gel consider me surprised when my research screamed for me to write in a smattering of historical content. Can’t seem to help myself.

President Obama is right…
About time the President moves on the do-nothing congress concerning immigration reform. It is criminal to leave families in limbo awaiting fair representation. These people are no different from you and I. We are all immigrants – unless you come from ancestors living here before the europeans came and stole the continent from the rightful indigenous people. I am writing a new novel concerning an era when thousands and thousands of indians were misplaced, and slaughtered. Their lives were destroyed by religion and cultural differences.
I am sickened by what my research shows of the greed and ignorance of our white ancestors. Stop racism and cultural hate – NOW!

Today the World Turned In On Itself
I cannot forgive my country for falling so far into the abyss of ignorance. Mid term elections are not elections – they are distractions enabling the weak in our cultures to capture the moment. We have a president who when elected struck a nerve in the psyche of the American people. The racism which exists as a bubbling cauldron below the surface was made to rise into sheer madness, mayhem, and burst forth with abandon. The result is a faction who recognized the opportunity to buy into that ignorance, and make it pay.
All of the acheivements attained by our great heroes of the past will now be downgraded and discarded. The greatest threats to the planet will be minimized by the money-mongers and allowed to fester and threaten our lives and future.
Today is the last day of this person of any affiliation with any party. The nazis are now in control.
